The use of a very restricted area of focus works well, maybe i'd like to see a little more of the pupil here (?) though i appreciate you want her gaze to be looking back over her shoulder, so maybe it wouldn't work any other way.
Normally I'd agree with defining the image from the border but with this compo being unconventional anyway it might be an option to remove the grey pencil line and let the white areas of the image blend into the white frame. Just a thought.
Very effective and dramatic background bokeh - nice piece.
